Rise Of The Anti Creative
By: SYBC Admin
Artificial Intelligence has pushed it's way into the human landscape.
It's here, whether we like it or not. And from the stubborn financial markets, it's here to stay and make money.
Yet just like the rise of the now puesdo science and such. The rise of the puesdo creative is becoming the new norm.
Make no mistake, phase one of the AI story has ended. Sure there's still data centers being built up (with destructive
results. No less), but the access points to use AI have already bloomed into it's next stage.
The creative industry is definetly feeling the wrath of this story's embryo
stage. And it's this industry that's going to see the maturity. And it's homogination it will soon face afterwards. For the
non creative, it's an exciting time. You can just simply "prompt" something. Then that something comes to life. But just like
with everything in a modern society, cut corners begin to take root. They haven't shown their true colors yet. The trend is
looming in the shadows.
This will bring rise to a subset of creations that will never reach the grand idea
of imagination. There's a reason why we humans have that feature. Just like everything that has been devoid of such powers, the
next chapter in the AI story will begin this downturn. In which companies will have to realize if this is the type of creative
output they want to "seize the day" on. People who are going to be heavliy dependent on AI tools will be expecting to make a very
mass amount of money. And many will hope their favorite brand is on the same page as them. Then when the money is being "made" on
that very end, it's going to become the same "eshitification" we continue to see. A pile on, of a pile on.
Music is already going through the fire. With as much as cutting human artist out of the
picture completely. It's not whole hearted there. But getting close enough. Sure people are just now getting access to these tools. The
machine is already getting steps ahead. And this is where the second phase kicks in. The early stages of something like this is always a
charm. Because the machine is growning. Yet the cut corners are booming to the forefront. And soon the excitement will wear off. I've
address this in the 2025 Autumn Keynote, how you have to look at AI as a weapon.
Because the next phase will be about who gets to own these pieces of works. And who gets to
sit at the table of the machine you have access to. Where does the fortunes lie, if you're feeding the beast, only to bite you back. I'm
not here to discourage the subculture of the anti-creative. We here at Schoolyard have to mull over AI, and stay on it's radar. However,
the wild west will soon be riled in, once enough people use the tools to build a psudo creative world with one touch of a button. And the
battle for that button will start, once the cut corners begin to leak and create dull, dry, experiences that will slice down the imagination
needed for something to click with humanity.
