Schoolyard at 27

By: SYBC Admin

Schoolyard just turned 27 this month. How are we doing so far? It's going better than ever. It's been a loooong journey to creating a Schoolyard platform. Something that makes creating something even more easier than before. Being difficult as is, Schoolyard has pushed on.

For Schoolyard, that comfort isn't worth the coin anymore.

The mantra of "design meets business" is a practice Schoolyard takes to heart. The system gives SYBC a unique twist. And being able to set this point early, gave us the ability to build a complete system. (And yes, it does help with that "SEO" factor, many of you are obsessed about.) So now Schoolyard has a investment into this website handle. So just like Frankie identitifies with Schoolyard. XYZ will also be attached to Schoolyard's web history.

I'm not saying that .com is dead. But the internet has become more vast than ever. And .xyz has a bit of misfortune of being attached to "questionable" websites. Yet, there's a few interesting websites that do cover the handle. It was part of the inspiration that we used. And it was used very creatively. And Schoolyard isn't going to do boring. Even for boring things like a website handle. This gives Schoolyard more range than ever before, with building a platform, using such a unique handle. It also gives a bit more freedom that you couldn't have with the usual handle. Schoolyard isn't small potatoes anymore.

So what does this mean for the present, and the future of Schoolyard and it's growing platform? This builds a creative framework that other handles can't give you. It ties to the "Blue Internet" blog article that was posted a bit back. Breaking away from the "dead/red" internet that keeps users limited. That includes other platfoms that utilize "user created" content that helps build the status quo. This is very important for our platform in order to keep in the fight for the next steps in technology. Having a different handle does give you a chance against the front that's coming.

It still may confuse many. This is also part of the "deconstruct the internet" mindset that Schoolyard wants to implement. You must look at it like this. Business and culture isn't exactly about advancement. It's about belief. You either are part of a belief you stand by. Or something to believe in just to keep you around for a second longer. This might be a bit ahead of the masses. And that's the purpose of these frameworks. So the .xyz system is the start of key frameworks that will build a much stronger, hardier, Schoolyard. Evolving into a much greater machine than yesterday.
