Schoolyard at 27

By: SYBC Admin

Schoolyard just turned 27 this month. How are we doing so far? It's going better than ever. It's been a loooong journey to creating a Schoolyard platform. Something that makes creating something even more easier than before. Being difficult as is, Schoolyard has pushed on.

At year 27, Schoolyard Book Company has created a solid foundation in which is now a mighty platform for all of Schoolyard's ideas, projects and more. I'm not going to keep saying it's been a difficult journey. Because let's face it, that's part of the journey. So I'm going to say all of this makes SYBC a better thing. Each and every day. So no matter the challenge, it's always a way to rise to the opportunity.

I know you're wondering, why the 27th birthday? Why not for the 25th? Well, for one, there's a whole mini site that covers Schoolyard at 25. Brry exist. And why not see how things are on an odd birthday year. One where a org doesn't celebrate too much.

So I'm just giving a hearty detail on where Schoolyard is at now. Everyday is about growing now. It's about creating a new story. A new idea. A new path. That's what Schoolyard has become. To be an culture of creativity. To produce more than smiles. To now influence the hearts and minds. In the past, it seem it was to try and get instant results. Yet as SYBC continues on this road, it's about the long term impact that last for a very long time. A portrait of the bigger picture.

Schoolyard 30 is closing near, and as I reflect on the duration of doing this publishing thing. I realize that it all just works. Not that it has to. But that it does. The energy and the love that's invested into it was small. Now more ingredients will just be poured into the pot. Which means that a big stew is happening. And with that being said, I will continue this mission of creating, and bringing creativity to the power of story and imagination. As difficult as it's been, Schoolyard pushes on...
