Creative Blog: Friday Night Radio
By: SYBC Admin
Welcome to another Creative Blog! We take a look at Friday Night Radio. The audio section
of The Friday Night, and it's role in audio content on Schoolyard platforms. Take a read on how this all works here from this latest
blog. Time to use your eyes and read along!
Friday Night Radio huh? How does audio play a role at Schoolyard?
Audio plays a very huge role here at Schoolyard. From blogcast, to Audio books/stories,
Friday Night Radio is central to making sure Schoolyard has every tool for imformation about everything SYBC related. Friday Night Radio
becomes a central part in delivering the news for the Friday Night for people who may want to listen to their news.
Does this take away from basic Friday Night news?
No. It actually helps The Friday Night is a very major way. Radio enhances news by adding audio to
the news prompts. That way you can just simply enjoy the article if don't feel like reading. Plus you can get more indepth information with the Blogcast.
Those can really give you important nuggets about Schoolyard's history, and operations. So you can always find something really cool about a particular
section of Schoolyard just by investing into the audio news features.
Blogcast? What are the purpose of these?
Schoolyard doesn't actually have "podcast". So the Blogcast is compact audio blogs about certain
Friday Night features. It's kinda like this blog feature, but in audio form. So you will get more detailed information in a much faster format than
just simply reading. These are exclusive to Schoolyard. So you won't be able to listen anywhere else but here.
So the blogcast will be exclusive to Schoolyard? How so?
The first reason was trying to keep SYBC information at the website. However, after creating the Frankie
Radio Station, it makes more sense to give the listener more freedom to enjoy the audio cast. You have more agency to listen and don't have to worry about
any mistakes in engaging with the content. Also, there is no financial, or mechanical benefit to being on other platforms. As our content won't truly reach
the audience we're seeking. Because Schoolyard is a brand, we have to support external platforms through buying Ad space.
Interesting. I just heard "Frankie Radio Station" (laughs). What is that?
Frankie Radio Station is a feature here at Friday Night Radio. These are small radio stations that just simply
play and list of diffenrent music. Each channel represents a different genre of music. Here you can also listen to the Yaps channel, and the Audio Files channel.
These two channels cover talk and audio books respecfully. So that's more content you can just simply enjoy at anytime.
Pretty cool.
Yeah. I want the creative spirit of Schoolyard to be carried in many avenues as possible. Friday Night Radio is
no exception. There will be more possiblities that will happen in the future. Stay tuned..
