Anti-Social: Building a different social media.
By: SYBC Admin
Social Media has became a huge lifeblood for the latest in
internet inventions. It seems every entity known to man must have some kind of account in order to be
part of the latest and greatest. Yet, can you really be ANTI social on a place that solely promotes being
a social butterfly? The answer is actually yes. Just like common society, not everybody is covered.
Some can say it's because of many things. Even at the expense of the company's ethics.
However, society doesn't ever work as intended. Just like in
reality, people will be forgotten. A internet web/app doesn't change that perception. The mantra of human
contact is the same. And it applies to these digital dens as well. However people take that information is
neither here or there. For Schoolyard it gives an opportunity to build an elaborate social media network for
it's note and content system. For SYBC, being anti-social is pro content building.
The goal here is to establish a library of news and information
for Schoolyard and it's projects. Doing this is very important in archiving Schoolyard and building a digital
environment. With a larger slant in going digital for the time being, building a social free social media is
important for the future. Schoolyard has many places that will be preserving content for generations.
Schoolyard has to be prepped for a post social media world as well. Since SYBC was created in 1998, the tools
were very different than they are now. So it's very critical to use the tools in whatever era you're in. Even
if it meets it's demise.
So don't mind us not trying to get your attention. Schoolyard just
wants the time to build something great. You can admire the work in a retroactive way. The way things work for
SYBC has changed. Digital is a foundation that must be completed and active. It will help Schoolyard and it's
future of creations. Without this piece, the puzzle will be a bit fuzzy for just SYBC's sake. This is about
completing and creating a whole effective Schoolyard, so that you can enjoy what's available for years to
come. Social media is no different in using it as a tool for it's time being. You won't ever have to worry if
you have missed out (even though your timeline will miss out) on Schoolyard and what's going down.
